Picture the scene: passionate minds from diverse backgrounds, united by a common purpose – to tackle the world’s most pressing issues through diplomacy and debate. What happens when five students from La Devesa School Elche join this intellectual arena?

The event, hosted in the prestigious University of Carlos III provided a platform for students to engage in simulated diplomatic debates, crafting resolutions to address pressing global issues.

Their efforts were duly rewarded when the announcement came: La Devesa School clinched not one, but two significant achievements. A standout performance by one of our delegates earned the coveted title of «Best Delegate,» a testament to their exceptional leadership and persuasive abilities. Furthermore, another member of the delegation received an honorable mention, recognizing their dedication and contribution to the discourse.

Participating in events like the MUN in Madrid offers invaluable experiences for students. Firstly, it provides a real-world understanding of global affairs, allowing students to delve into complex issues ranging from climate change to human rights. Engaging in rigorous research and debates fosters critical thinking, analytical skills, and the art of persuasion – all essential competencies for future leaders.

Moreover, MUN conferences facilitate cultural exchange and networking opportunities, enabling students to interact with peers from diverse backgrounds and forge lifelong friendships. The exposure to different perspectives broadens their worldview and cultivates empathy, essential qualities for navigating an increasingly interconnected world.

We can’t wait to go back to this event next year!
